When should you self-massage?

It can be helpful to self-massage after a bath or shower, as your body will be warm and your muscles relaxed; this can aid in a deeper massage. You may want to give yourself a small massage before exercise (to prepare your muscles for more vigorous movement) and after exercising (as part of your cool down routine). Similar to a pre/post workout stretch, therapists believe this can promote circulation and ease tension.

Once you’re familiar with self-massage techniques, you can easily incorporate it into your daily routine. You could give yourself a quick hand or foot massage while at your desk, or take 10 minutes to massage your neck and shoulders during your lunch break.

The ratio of the work done or energy developed by a machine, engine, etc., to the energy supplied to it, usually expressed as a percentage.

How efficient is therapy in everyday life?

How well we feel depends on the efficiency with which our body produces hormones, enzymes, prostaglandins, blood cells, antibodies and countless other substances.

Nutritional therapists aim to improve your body's efficiency by identifying and then dealing with these problems using a number of different types of diets, herbs and dietary supplements, according to individual need.

An efficiently functioning body finds it easier to repair itself and heal itself, but if you have a serious illness much will depend on your body's powers of recuperation and on other factors such as stress and anxiety .

Age and the Efficiency of Group Therapy

The benefits of social contact and interaction for these age groups provide strong arguments for the adoption of group therapy. This makes it an effective platform which can be utilized for reaching out to children and young adults. Amongst older people, the use of group therapy yields a sense of familiarity and comfort which is supported by the realization that others have equating mental or life issues to share.

The advantages of therapy can be used with many psychological conditions regardless of how old the person might be. Considering the benefits of group therapy as compared to individual treatment may be a wise choice for individuals who need therapy themselves, or are seeking treatment for a close friend or loved one.
