What is communication?

People communicate not only people but life forms that live on earth and those that don’t communication is an everyday activity that people do naturally from talking and listening to each other, Either by the natural senses and also the special scenes such as extra sensory perception.

Through thought to modern day photographs to classical portraits were you could perceive a thought that you could say is ESP.

Humans communicate as a concept of behaviour with or without technology.

Although technology is contributing to an ever increasing number of ways that people communicate.

Communication is from the Latin word to share it is an activity in conveying information through the exchange of thoughts, messages or information speech, visuals, signals, writing or behaviour.I  t is an exchange between two people.

It can be act of one person to give or receive from another information about person’s needs, desires, perceptions, knowledge, or affective ability.

It can be intention or unintentional and can involve conventional and unconventional signals.

It may be linguistically or non linguistically either spoken or another method.

Communicators require a sender, a message and a recipient, although the receiver does not have to be present or aware of the sender’s message during communication, communication can occur over vast distances and time and space.

The communication requires that the communicating parties share an area of communicative commonality.

The communication process is completed once the receiver understands the message sent.

To communicate with others can be through thought ESP this only exists in the mind of the sender, it can be a concept a feeling and idea or information

Encoding a message sent to a receiver in words or symbols.

Decoding the receiver translates into words or symbols into a concept that the receiver can understand.

There are many forms of verbal and non verbal communications from body language, eye contact, sign language, haptic communication which is a form of touch a non verbal method it conveys a message about surface and texture and physical intimacy from positive, playful control, ritualistic, task related and unintentional.

Chronemics that is a study of the use of time in non-verbal communication how to perceive and value time structure in time and reactions to time frames, how to perceive time through culture.

Time perceptions can be punctuality, patience and interaction; it affects lifestyle, daily agendas speed of speech, movement and how long people listen.

A virtual world that is social or game worlds, which are residential social interactions through avatars and participate in activates.

Mobile social media has a lot of business potential from market research communication sales promotion and discounts relationship development and loyalty programs e-commence which is a popularity trend due to accessibility of online purchasing e-commerce.

New media is on demand anytime anywhere digital device an example is apple I phone I pad although there are many leading competitors that also produce devices.

Technology has to be a digital networkable interactive. E.g. Internet websites, computer games CD-ROMs and DVDs also Apps have really defined new media covering applications that cover all interactive media

Without technology old media can consist of something simple such as the television, which produces a mass of programs also satellite, which is both new and old media and creates a larger choice of programs although their availability of accessible programs can be limited for a mass audience.

Telecommunications is only really a mass media as the ever increasing availability of telephone networks from British telecom to the growth of other telecommunications networks company’s mercury was a competitor and now talk talk is also a large household broad band service.

Aeroplanes are also communicators for a pilot to be a receiver of the destination a message to the destination to the people that chose to fly to the destination or any forms of transport Bus Taxi Boat Train motorbike or even a rocket ship, spaceship, although terrestrial mass communication is possible even if the sender isn’t human although the recipient is or isn’t.

The paranormal is also a method of mass communication where the sender of the message is deceased and is still a communicator to the living through psychic medium ship who is able to receive and send messages to a recipient or collective recipients.

Offices are receivers for large company’s were they are leading messengers are sending and providing mass communications to receivers who work in a mass media environment.

Shopping malls are also mass media communicators were they sell products to the mass consumer they are communicating that they sending and receiving consumerism to a mass population.

The Music industry is an individual industry that is an example of a mass media method of communication. The musician creates a song for people to listen too.

The sender is the creator and the receiver is on mass who ever is able to appreciate the message sent.

It is an increasing more accessible industry from iTunes and other leading music exporters where technology is making music accessible mainstream for

the receivers to listen and also create their own music so that the mass market is conveying media to and from the sender to the receiver.

Also Party’s are a mass media event, it doesn’t seem to matter what party scene your from the basics of communication are from the sender the DJ who sends its recipients a message the people who choose to party.

Its an on-going day to day interaction you find that human activities in everyday culture and lifestyles is a mass of communication it’s a media event and multimedia is improving our scenes and are ability to be aware of mass media as a method of communication

Mass media and multimedia

Mass communication has developed since the millennium we have since an increase in the ability to evolve as an ever-growing intercommunicative response to broad band and the internet, goggle and basic internet sights have become an ever expanding source of knowledge people are developing many different methods of mass communication through media sources that are redeveloping a simple and easy method of mass communication.

In the last ten years multi media communication has developed to a global circus of varied methods of highly developed interactive tools produced by technology gurus there are so many up and coming methods of mass communication that are now targeted to be easy and accessible methods of interaction

Multimedia is aimed at a variation of the senses, an example from CD-ROM where audio is integrated with visual animation or image/film.

Main sources of information come from media events internally and externally from methods of technology PR est. to advertising visual context and audios.

Although macromedia /Dreamweaver is appealing to web users to help encourage hosts to continue to build websites that appeal to a mass market.

Macro media is a mass communicator that is being produced and marketed by technology competitors that are sending a targeted receiver as an audience /consumer to encourage them to create a message that they have sent and that is then sent to another targeted receiver / consumer that is also a creating a continued level of mass macro multimedia communication.

Although people are beginning to see that new media is not necessary all about advertising it can be a creation light colour and composition an art in itself.

These can be interpersonal applications interactive application Internet and entertainment interaction. Interpersonal applications, video conferencing speech video. Interactive applications Internet and image integration and interpersonal communication sype or face time .

The process of digitalisation and consolidation

What is digitization

Digitizing information makes it easier to preserve, access, and share. For example, an original historical document may only be accessible to people who visit its physical location, but if the document content is digitized, it can be made available to people worldwide.

What is Consolidation

An example of Consolidation is Combining assets equity, liabilities and operating accounts of a parent firm and its subsidiaries into one financial statement .

There are many variations of mass communication that I have written about and described in how I would interpreted mass communication.

To examine one sector of mass communication that has changed our understanding of communication I think in the last 15 years has been the internet.

I have been much more aware in recent years of the Internet as a communicator.

The Internet is a global network of interconnected computer systems from desktops to pc and macs they use the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP), which serves billions of users worldwide.

It is a network that networks that consist of millions of private, public, academic, business and government networks, from small independent Dreamweaver’s to global scope. That is all linked electronic, wireless and optical network coverage’s.

The Internet covers a wide range of topics and services. They can be hypertext documents of the www worldwide web, which is the inter structure to support email and other networks.

The U.S had invented the Internet in the 1980 and was funded by private investors worldwide and participation globally helped develop networking technologies and merge with other networks the academic world had a better knowledge of the Internet and was widely used in the 80s.

Then in the 1990s commercialisation of the internet happened and its popularity had been incorporated into modern human life in 2012 over 2 and half billion people over a third of the population of planet earth have had some accessed to the internet which is over 100 times more than in 95.

The Internet has grown extensively in the west from the 1990s to the millennium and 2015 and also developing worlds.

The traditional methods of digitised communication the phone, Music, the Internet is reshaping all film, and television and it is much simpler to access any previous information that has all been consolidated by the Internet.

Also new concepts from voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) to Internet

protocol television (IPTV)

The internet is also consolidating major industry’s of information into the internet from publishing newspapers magazines books are a being adapted for availability and are interactive through blogging and web feeds.

Wikipedia is one of the most expanding informative and educational sources of information that is available on the Internet and is an alternative from the encyclopaedia that was available in published book form.

There are many forms of digitalisation and consolidation of information that is provided by the Internet. Blogging is one of them.

It is a form of social networking a web log is a discussion or information that is published on the web they are posts that help with an interaction of information rather than conversation.

It is also considered an educational tool were individuals small groups and intuitions write about a subject and a large group of authors also micobloging.

Micoposts which is a medium of an exchange of contents of sentences like text, or instant messaging they are also like online diaries although they are currently not really as available as other sources of social networking services also online brand advertising.

Collages and university’s are creating technological forums were students are available to accesses information from a source of communication moddle were they are able to interact as a students list the subjects that they are enrolled in and also communicate with their teacher and other pupils also have teachers class notes available to access on the course structure.

This really helps the student interact with the teacher and is the beginning of helping people /students interact thought the Internet it is just an incentive to helping the students build a relationship with each other.

Web feeds are also a digitalization of website addresses they help as a source of referencing were they help the recipient of the internet access the website address on the www web browser and then the aggregator program the feeder acts as recipient for the www addresses and references its servers.

It is similar to that of the Harvard system of referencing although the aggrator makes it simpler to access the addresses.

This is also common place on the I pad as a form of bookmarking although it needs to be developed as it could make referencing mainstream a lot more simpler as an app or a social interaction program as referencing is only common place in essay writing.

The net is a place for consumers who desire more.

Its an excessive informative transformer that is consuming the human population .

It is a pressurised industry that is creating many variations of apparent expansion of consumer culture its is having a powerful influence on patterns of researchers to shoppers.

It is the individual choice and phcologically it is the consumption of the individual and well as the mass of the population.

Socially the interaction while consuming information and then sharing through the net on social networking is a need to let other people understand who u are as it is a phenomenon of collective behaviour.

Culturally the net is an informative impression that helps people form other cultures . Technologically and religiously .

To understand each other from traditions and expressions to emotions that come from the consumerism through the net of information to shopping export and import of goods.

This can lead from a positive necessity of a simplistic approach to feeling that need or want with use of the net although can lead to a negative aspect which is usually due spirals of nartistic spending which leads to unhappiness and debt and can leave you feeling uprooted and empty .

Cultural theories suggest that consumption is an expression they use goods as an act to communicate with each other to express feelings and create an environment it can also be a cultural approach a perspective that mass consumerism from one culture and the goods brought is an example of local indigenous rituals objects and meanings that are also expressed as consumption through the net .

Evaluation concepts of digitalization and consolidation in the mass media market

To evaluate the concepts of the net from the transformation of the 1980s to the present day we have evolved as an evolution due to the net.

Information is much more available to mass media market were we are able to learn and progress from the information that is digitalised in the many languages that as humans we interact and speak.

The net is a different language and is available to learn form in different languages the information that is accessible through pages of information is all digitalised so that it is available for mass consumption on the net and many university’s and company’s are consistently employing people and thinking of new ways to consolidate information from a variation of resource that are available through research and then accessible through the net in a variation of mixed media.

The availability of every mass media conception has been thought about and made accessible through the net so that we can think of anything and access it through the www.

By digitalisation and consolidating media on the net we have solved any problem to resourcing information or to finding that one materialistic necessity to consumption that is available through only one source of technology and that is the Internet.
